This is the first post, so it will be a rushed one, just signed up 3 minutes ago. I have been meaning to do a Blogger/blog for years.
I read others writings all of the time, trying to grow in my ability to relate to and have compassion for others. Real compassion, relating from a standpoint of empathy and being able to help, if possible.
I have lost many friends to everyone's enemy, death. I was going over some of the last conversations between myself and my best online friend, Bob Clark, these past few days. He was relating his thoughts/feelings about a friend of his, a fellow SCI(spinal cord injury), we both knew from the Care Cure forums. I found her blog after all these years, and have been reading it off and on for a few days. http://lifeparalyzed.blogspot.com/ Christina Symanski.
She is the reason I am doing this. I did not spend as much time on the care cure forums in the time she was there, as I had spent a lot of time in the past years, before she arrived. I only commented on a few of her threads. After reading much of her blog and online posts, I realized I could have helped her in her search for truth as it relates to 'religion' or ''faith'. Herein lies the purpose of my blog.
I encourage you to read her blog starting from the beginning instead of the end. Life is a journey and always has a beginning. It should always be taken in that context. She was a beautiful human from the inside out, who had just attained her desires of a good job teaching children and a future with a man she loved. In short, was finally beginning the journey of life.
Next will be what I hope will be a helpful blog for everyone who is searching for answers.
Until then...
John
